Prospective Students and Fellows
Admission into Concordia graduate programs is conditional on students' ability to secure funding for the duration of their studies. The same applies to postdoctoral fellows. With this in mind, the Substantive-Methodological Synergy (SMS) Research Laboratory always welcome new graduate students and postdoctoral fellows interested in joining the SMS adventure.
We welcome students and fellows from a psychological background, as well as those from a more formal statistical background. Students can join us based on shared substantive or theoretical interests, but this is not a prerequisite.
Students and fellows do not need to possess advanced statistical skills to join us. They only need to be open to statistics, and to be free from "stats phobia".
A key advantage of joining our lab is the possibility to interact with, and benefit from the mentoring of, lab members from a variety of backgrounds and collaborators from wide International network. Lab members and collaborators are all well-published researchers familiar with the research publication process and experienced in supporting students to achieve a satisfactory research track record.
As they become available, more specific announcements of funding opportunities related to specific projects will be posted on the news section of this website.
If you are interested in joining us, please send us a short letter of intention, a copy of your CV, and a copy of your course transcript at at [email protected]
